Highlights 2017

The Research School of Social Sciences (RSSS) is one of the foundational schools of the Institute of Advance Studies at the Australian National University. As a major institution of theorectical and empiricial research in social sciences, RSSS is also a significant prescence in the nation’s undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral training.

The strength and ongoing success of the Research School of Social Sciences lies in the diverse backgrounds of our academics, our innovative research techniques, and our strong disciplinary cultures.

Comprising of the School of Sociology, the School of Politics and International Relations, the School of History, the School of Philosophy,  the School of Demography, the Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research, the Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies, and the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods, there have been many successes that have resulted from a prosperous 2017.
