Are you interested in pursuing an Honours or PhD in sociology? Join us for this online information session from the ANU School of Sociology.
The Honours and PhD programs offer candidates an opportunity to develop their independent research skills in their chosen field of study. In sociology, we specialise in understanding the big social issues facing our times—from the changing nature of work and inequality, to the climate crisis and its social impacts on urban and rural environments, and new ways of understanding our bodies and identities through innovations in science and technology.
This session is for prospective students who are interested in learning more about these advanced research programs and who are interested in applying. In this session you will hear about:
- What is expected in an Honours/PhD program?
- What kind of topics can I research?
- Where can an Honours/PhD take you?
- How do I apply?
- What support/scholarships are available?
You will also have a chance to meet some of the experts, ask your questions, and to learn about some of the exciting research happening in the School. Learn more about the School of Sociology’s teaching and research strengths here.
