After the federal government decided to forgo the Napandee nuclear waste facility in South Australia, Jess Urwin from ANU History discussed the matter on Radio National's Late Night Live on Monday 18 September 2023. Using insights from her "No Time to Waste" article in Inside Story, she shed light on the Federal Court's verdict against the facility. The decision, marked by strong opposition and a court ruling on bias, led Resources Minister Madeleine King to halt activities and recognise the concerns of Kimba residents and the Barngarla people.
