Ambassador H.E Penot and Professor Jane Hall sign the MoU
The Embassy of France in Australia and the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia are proud to announce the launch of the Collaborative Research Program in Social Sciences.
At an event at the French Embassy, Ambassador H.E. Penot and President of the Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Jane Hall, signed a Memorandum of Understanding launching a program of scholarships and research grants. Associate Professor Katherine Daniel, President of the Australian-French Associate for Research and Innovation (AFRAN) and long-time ANUCES associate, also spoke at the event. Our Director, Professor Jacqueline Lo, attended in recognition of the deepening academic collaboration with French Universities and Pacific partners.
This research funding program supports and strengthens collaboration in the social sciences between France and Australia, with:
• Research activities on a topic of common interest to France and Australia, for eligible researchers affiliates in France and Australia, especially beginning and mid-career researchers.
• Research activities related to studies of the Pacific Islands (including the French Overseas Territories).
• Research activities with the capacity to support the development of strategic alliances between France and Australia.
Applications for the new student and scientific exchange programs are now open!
