Professor Christian Barry and Professor Garrett Cullity of the School of Philosophy, have taken a closer look at the climate policies recently announced in the much anticipated United Nations Climate Summit in Glasgow last week. Specifically diving into the morality of carbon offsetting.

Carbon offsetting refers to the act of "removing carbon from the atmosphere in one place to balance the emissions made in another". So is this just greenwashing at a government level? Or does the practice of carbon offsetting have a legitimate role to play in getting to Net Zero by 2050?
