The Australian National Centre for Latin American Studies wishes to congratulate the winners of the 2022 ANCLAS Prizes for Excellence in Research and 2022 ANCLAS Article Prize:

• ANCLAS PhD Thesis Award for research excellence 2022: Alexander D’Aloia 
• ANCLAS Masters Thesis Award for research excellence 2022: Sian Townend
• ANCLAS Article Award for research excellence 2022: Tracy Fenwick

Both thesis prizes were warmly supported, with the PhD thesis on the Popular Solidarity Economy in Ecuador particularly noted as a stand-out achievement.

In addition, the article award committee noted a thematic resonance between all three submissions, each of which dealt with social policy and the fight to address economic inequality in Latin America – a relevant and timely topic.
