The ACF is pleased to announce our 2023 visiting fellows:

Prof. Jorge Gordin, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, will be visiting February 20th to the 8th of March, 2023. Jorge is an expert of various aspects of federalism having published widely on the subject in a number of top journals such as Regional and Federal Studies, Political Studies Review and Policy Studies as well as contributing chapters to several important edited collections on federalism.  He has been awarded several major grants from around the world including Israel, Chile, Canada and the European Commission demonstrating that his expertise is widely recognised. We look forward to meeting him and hearing his presentations to SPIR on the 2nd of March.

Prof. Haig Patapan, School of Government and International Relations, Griffith University, Queensland, will be visiting April 17th-19th, 2023. Professor Haig Patapan is Professor in the School of Government and International Relations, Griffith University. He was Director of the Centre for Governance and Public Policy 2013-2020. Professor Patapan is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. He has received a number of awards, including an Australian Prime Ministers Centre Fellowship, a Senior Fulbright Scholarship at the Centre for Public Leadership, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and most recently an Isaac Manasseh Meyer Fellowship, the National University of Singapore. He is currently exploring the idea of the states and territories in Australia as ‘policy laboratories’, a concept understudied within Australian federal scholarship.

We look forward to hosting both of these senior scholars to the Australian Centre for Federalism located within the School of Politics and I.R. in the first semester of 2023.
