Charles Price Prize in Demography awarded to Marie McAuliffe

Congratulations to Dr Marie McAuliffe who has been awarded the 2018 Charles Price Prize in Demography.

The prize recognises the best PhD thesis on a topic which contributed outstanding research to the field of Demography or migration studies.

Marie completed her doctoral research at the ANU School of Demography as a Sir Roland Wilson Scholar. Her research examined the irregular maritime migration of Hazara asylum seekers to Australia.

She is currently the Head of the Migration Policy Research Division at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and is the co-chief editor of the next World Migration Report.
