Friday 19 November 2021

Congratulations to Dr Laura Rademaker for winning the 2021 Paul Bourke Award for Early Career Research.

Dr Rademaker is Postodoctoral Research Assistant within the School of History. Her research is mainly focused on Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory, and she takes a collaborative approach to her research and the outputs - working closely with the communities the research is based in. She encourages people to not be intimiated by Australia's past, but to rather give it the attention that it deserves.

Dr Rademaker is one of four Early Career Researchers that have won the 2021 award which was named in honour of the late Professor Paul Bourke, an influential political historian. All of the recipients will give public talks on their research in Social Sciences Week 2022.
