New Publication on Contraceptive Science and Technology
Congratulations to Dr Natasha Szuhan on the publication of her new book The Family Planning Association and Contraceptive Science and Technology in Mid-Twentieth-Century Britain, which offers the first in-depth study of the relationship between the FPA and contraceptive technology in the pre-pill era. Further, it explores the role of the FPA outside Britain and considers its engagement in global family planning networks. By taking a micro-history approach to the archives of the Association, this book highlights the importance of this organisation to the history of science, technology, and medicine in twentieth-century Britain. The publication is part of a series titled “Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Modern History”.
