Professor Amin Saikal releases new book 'Zone of Crisis'
Monday 10 November 2014

Professor Saikal's most recent book, Zone of Crisis: Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran & Iraq was launched at CAIS, by the ANU Chancellor Prof. The Hon Gareth Evans on 22 October 2014.

The event provided the opportunity for the Former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Prof. Saikal to present their views on the recent turmoil in the Middle East.  Professor Evans said the book was a timely, lucid and systematic book that provides a scholarly approach to the problems of the region.  He acknowledged that the volume represented just the latest in Prof. Saikal's contributions to Middle East and Central Asian Studies over decades at ANU.
