2022 has begun on a high note for the ANU School of Philosophy, with not one but four members of faculty published in the recent edition of Ethics.

Christian Barry, Garrett Cullity, Hayden Wilkinson and Kirsten Mann all have articles in Vol. 132 No. 2 which is a testament to the quality of the Philosophy department.

Christian and Garrett’s article, “Offsetting and Risk Imposition” looks at neutralising risks, applying this theory to the offsetting of personal greenhouse gas emissions.
“In Defense of Fanaticism”, by Hayden Wilkinson argues that fanaticism can actually be quite plausible.
And “Relevance and Nonbinary Choices” by Kirsten Mann, explores the ‘Relevance View’ and her proposal to extend this view.

Previously, the School of Philosophy has also been ranked second in the world for graduate student experience as well as fifth in the world in the 2021 QS World Rankings University Rankings.
